WebPixr ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our Shopify application.

Information We Collect

Shop Information

When you install WebPixr, we collect and store the following information via Shopify's API:

• Shop domain, name, and owner email
• Product information for products you associate with 3D models
• Theme information necessary for embedding 3D viewers
• 3D model files (GLB/GLTF), configurator settings, and material mappings you upload
• Subscription status, plan information, and billing cycle dates (if subscribed to a paid plan)

Technical Data

We collect minimal technical data necessary for app functionality:

• Session tokens for authentication and authorization
• System-generated error logs (managed by our platform provider)

We do not collect analytics, usage tracking, or behavioral data beyond what's necessary for core functionality.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely to:

• Provide and maintain the WebPixr 3D viewer service
• Process and render 3D models on your storefront
• Manage subscriptions and billing (for paid plans)
• Respond to customer support requests
• Communicate critical service updates

We do not use your data for marketing, advertising, or analytics purposes.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Gadget.dev infrastructure, a Shopify-integrated platform provider. Gadget.dev manages security, encryption, and infrastructure on our behalf.

• Data encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest
• Cloud infrastructure hosted on enterprise-grade servers
• Access restricted to authenticated shop sessions via Shopify OAuth

3D models and configuration data are stored securely and accessible only by your authorized shop account.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share data only with the following parties:

• Shopify - Required for OAuth authentication and API access
• Gadget.dev - Our platform provider for data storage and app hosting
• Legal authorities - When required by law or to protect our legal rights

All third-party service providers are contractually bound to protect your data and use it only for providing services to us.

Your Rights and Data Deletion

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data stored in our system
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data by contacting support
• Export your 3D models and configuration data

Data Retention and Uninstallation

When you uninstall WebPixr, your shop data remains in our system to allow reinstallation without data loss. If you wish to permanently delete all data, please contact us at dev@angrydigital.com and we will remove all associated data within 48 hours of your request.

Note: Per Shopify's requirements, shop data may be retained for up to 48 hours after uninstallation before automatic deletion processes begin.

GDPR and Privacy Rights

For merchants in the European Union, we support GDPR compliance through Shopify's mandatory webhook system:

• Customer Data Requests: We receive and respond to customer data access requests via Shopify webhooks
• Data Redaction: Customer and shop redaction requests are processed as mandated by Shopify
• Right to be Forgotten: Contact us directly for expedited data deletion

WebPixr stores minimal personal data. Most data collected is product and configuration information necessary for service functionality rather than personally identifiable customer information.

Cookies and Local Storage

WebPixr uses minimal client-side storage:

• Authentication Tokens: Managed by Shopify for secure admin access (session-based)
• 3D Viewer Preferences: Browser local storage may cache camera positions and viewer settings for better user experience

We do not use third-party cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics scripts. All authentication is handled via Shopify's OAuth system.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated via the app admin interface. Continued use of WebPixr after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
